Goong-Hom-Pha: Prawn Rolls

Recipe By : GOURMET GETAWAYS WITH ROBIN LEACH
Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : New Text Import

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
--- -- --
2 Tablespoons fish or soya sauce
2 Teaspoons coriander root -- and
2 Teaspoons garlic
1 Teaspoon peppercorns -- pounded together
2 Cups prawns, shelled -- cleaned
1 Thin pancakes or soya bean crepes
Softened preserved egg noodles

Goong-Hom-Pha: Prawn Rolls
Directions:

Mix fish or soya sauce with coriander, garlic and peppercorn and marinate
the shelled prawns in the mixture for five minutes. Use the crepes or
pancakes to wrap the marinated prawns in individually then tie noodles
around. If the soya bean crepes are hard when bought, sprinkle some water
on them so that they become more manageable and do not break easily.
Deep-fry the rolls in hot cooking oil until golden brown (medium heat).
Serve with sauces: plain soya sauce, hot pepper sauce, or plum sauce.
Sriracha chili sauce is recommended.
